Song of the Refusenik

I never knew this tribute existed - It's truly worth watching


The tragic history of socialist anti-semitism (including national socialism) is well documented. But after the Israeli victory in the Soviet provoked six-day war of 1967 and the subsequent officially launched wave of anti-semitism and terror throughout the communist bloc and international socialist movements , many brave Jewish men and women of the USSR made the decision to try and escape to freedom in Israel and the west, despite the Soviet Union's desparite attempts to stop their emigration.

Not only were these repressive measures a major embarrassment to the communists, but it was also a failure:
